There was lots of room, really comfy sofas, good TV and care had been taken with the décor. I would recommend this place to anyone. The kitchen was well laid out and everything worked!

Great location, hotel has so much history and is kept up really well. It’s clean the staff are very nice and helpful. Right by public transportation and just a short walk to byres road where all the shops and restaurants are. Near great western road which takes you wherever you need to be and in my opinion the safest neighbourhood. Close to the botanical gardens and there is a grocery store also nearby.

Very warm welcome when we arrived and offered to help with our luggage. We had booked the 2bedroom apartment which was very spacious and spotlessly clean. We had a 4month old baby with us and this was an ideal apartment for us. We were also happy with the extras when we arrived- washing up liquid, cloths, dishtowels, toiletries etc. Another attraction is the free parking outside the apartments. They are also located within walking distance of Byers Road shopping area and the Botanic Gardens. Unfortunately we could only stay for 1night this time but we are already looking forward to another visit once the better weather arrives as there is a lovely courtyard outside the apartment where we could sit on a warm summer evening.

I love staying at the Whitehouse. I have stayed in several rooms, Mezzanie, double studio and several small studios. Every room has been spotless and comfortable. The staff are so helpful and friendly, especially the night warden. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Best find in Glasgow and definitely a home from home.

I stayed two months during November and December 2012 in White House Apartments. I had a small studio which comprises of living/dining and bedroom area as one with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.
It was really nice to stay and I would recommend it to anyone who has to stay in Glasgow. Close to Byres Road where you can find lots of nice shops and restaurants and very easy to use the First Bus 20 to the Center. People from White House make you feel very comfortable. Good place to stay!

I have stayed at the Whitehouse appartments for work and pleasure and each time is a delight. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and provide everything you could possibly need for a pleasant stay. Very good value for money.

Best place to stay in Glasgow! I have tried other places but keep coming back here – it’s warm, comfortable, spacious, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. A good place to find a quite corner to work and to self-cater, but most rooms big enough to entertain / work with a colleague if needed. Not far from Byres Road and quick nip by taxi to most major locations. I’m definitely a fan of here!

Booked last minute via ‘late rooms’. What a find, this will be where we stay in Glasgow from now on. We stayed in Apartment 21, top of 3 flights of stairs, opened the door to a HUGE one bedroom apartment. Beautiful large bathroom, separate kitchen, lovely comfortable bedroom with walk in wardrobe, wifi, DVD, CD, great TV….absolutely nothing to criticise. If you really pushed me – a couple of pillows for the sofa, and the bedroom skylight lets lots of light in if you like a dark room in the morning! How good id that that thats all I can think of. It is out from the city centre a mile or so, but near the Kelvingrove Museum, and Botanic Gardens (beautiful). and so so quiet. Free on street parking. Five stars deserved from me. We’ll be back plenty!

I booked here recently for a weekend getaway and had a great time. The apartments are in a nice, quiet area in Glasgow’s West End and the unusually summer late September day was a bonus I didn’t expect. I had booked a small studio, expecting everything in 1 room with a small but conspicuous kitchen area in the corner. I was most pleasantly surprised to find the small studio is actually a decent sized room with a separate kitchen and bathroom with a bath – not just a shower. The man at reception was friendly and helpful and was happy to show me the back gardens. Unfortunately my alarm clock failed the next morning, but I was granted an extra half hour to vacate without any problem. I would definitely stay at these apartments again

Huge, beautifully furnished room in great west end setting. Very clean, quiet and spacious, but only short walk to West End (great Western road/Byers Road)

We decided to stay at the Whitehouse as we could book self catering (rather than a hotel) for our holiday and we loved it. The standard of accommodation was very high and we were very impressed by the staff from the outset, sorting a booking error by immediately upgrading us without any fuss or question; quite superb. The accommodation was sparkling clean, well decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The bathroom was huge as was the living room and the kitchen was a good size too. The bedrooms had plenty of space and the beds themselves were very comfortable. The location was perfect as Cleveden Crescent is gorgeous, tucked away in the vibrant West End yet close to the City Centre. As a bonus it is very easy to access the Highlands from here as well. Finally our thanks to the staff of the Whitehouse for helping to make our week nothing short of fantastic. I have no doubt that we will be back

On a tranquil crescent just west of the Botanical Gardens, this well-managed group of Victorian town houses has more than 30 apartments—studios to two bedrooms—that can be rented from a night to as long as a year, with considerable reductions along the way. The apartments are spacious and individually decorated, with kitchens and living areas with sofas and chairs. Some are more contemporary than others, but it’s hard to beat the space, views, location, or the peace and quiet—not to mention the surprisingly good value. The lobby is very Scottish, with tartan carpets, and elaborate chandeliers pepper the corridors and stairways. The helpful staff can point you in any direction you need to go.

Liked the hotel design, very nice. Also very quiet neighbourhood. Quite High standard

Easy to find, easy access to Byres Road and therefore easy access to city centre via tube station. Good facilities within the apartment, very comfortable and clean. Liked everything about it.

It was really unusual – the décor was brilliant, and keeping with type of house.

I stayed here for a research trip for four nights and couldn’t have asked for better accommodation and service from the staff. A very friendly male porter/staff member went over and above the call of duty to ensure my stay was comfortable. The accommodation was slightly outside the main city centre but was a 10 minute walk to the trendy west end haunt Byres Rd. I’d recommend for slightly longer stays as opposed to just one eve.

The best self-catering accommodation in the West End of Glasgow, fabulous location, fantastic building, lots of character, each apartment is quite different.

If accommodation makes or breaks your holiday, then this is the place to stay, soak up the atmosphere, relax and enjoy. Super friendly team ensure you have everything you need. We live in Melbourne, travel a lot and have stayed in quite a few self-catering apartments. The White House is the favourite by far and just gets better. Scottish hospitality at it’s best. Would recommend to anyone.

I am a Scot, from the west end of Glasgow, living in Austin, Texas and when I travel home, I love staying at The Whitehouse. I have family and friends who live on all sides of Glasgow and from the apartments, it is easy to get to see everyone. The fact that there are so many great places to eat, and public transport is right there, what’s not to love.. The apartments are spacious with great and have everything you need to self cater. If you want more service, you can add it on for an extra charge. Staff are super friendly and very helpful if you need it. There are night staff who are great, nothing is too much to ask. My family and I have stayed here for the past 12 years when going home. That’s it, a home away from home :)

    “Quirky, but very nice”

Caroline, the manager couldn’t have been more helpful. We arrived after an all night flight and she and her staff did everything they could to get us into our flat. It was comfortable, although the shower was in our friends’ bedroom.
The location was great – right off the bus line, although Caroline drove Nancy and me to see the arboretum.

Stayed August 2012 – Would definitely stay there if we get the chance to visit Glasgow again. We loved Glasgow!
